Torq x Channel Islands M23 7'0
A shortboard with extra foam, from Channel Islands and Torq. It is based on the M13, the hybrid Al Merrick shaped for himself and rode for decades, from small days at Rincon to big Sunset Beach. It paddles like a bigger board and rides like a shortboard.
More foam than a standard shortboard, fuller rails and a slimmer nose. The round tail gives hold and control, and a harder rail edge in the last third lets it turn sharply.
This one is the 7'0 at 47.6 litres, in white and cream. As a rough guide it floats an intermediate surfer up to about 80 kg, or an advanced surfer up to about 115 kg.
