Skim Board - Wooden
A wooden skimboard is lighter and more durable than you'd expect, and it handles shallow water better than foam or carbon alternatives. Because wood sinks quicker, you'll get the most out of it in the shallows around Lagos where the water runs thin and clear over sand.
Wooden boards are forgiving for beginners learning the basics of how to run and drop, and they're tougher than composite boards when you're learning to land tricks or practising on the flat. The board turns differently than a lighter foam or epoxy skim – it's more about feel than float – so if you've had a go on something else and want to try a different ride, this is worth renting for a session.

- Roof straps for a hire car are free to borrow, against a small refundable deposit.
- At pickup we hold a passport, ID card or driving licence, or a cash deposit.
